Venue and publicity for the public reading will be provided by SFWA.  Date and location for public viewing will be announced in the future.  If the first place winner is unavailable, the second place winner can have the public play reading.

One-Act Play Writing Contest

Last Year's Winners

The South Florida Writers Association announces a contest for one-act plays.

The winners have been decided!

Our Final Round Judge, Lenore van Wagner, has made her decisions.

The First Place Winner is not one of our members. She is a University of Miami student, Ms. Molly Evans, from Boston.  Her entry was Controlling Colors.

The Second Place Winner was Ohio resident Mark Schwamberger.  He spends some months of the year down here.  His play was Pandora's Jar

The Third Place winner was Linda Cardinal Schneider, whose play was My Name Is Solamae.

An Honorable Mention was awarded to Mr. Ed Ahrens, Jr., for his play,

The Lift.

Contest Prizes are as follows:

First-place winner $200 plus a public reading.
